My Exquisite Pizza Evolution: From Domino's to Pizza Express

When I think back to my first job after high school, I remember my time at Domino's Pizza with fondness. It was a great place to work, and my cousin being the manager only made it better. It was there that I discovered the magic of a margherita pizza with a twist. A fellow worker introduced me to a vegetarian special with garlic butter on top, and I couldn't resist offering some suggestions to make it even better. The result was a mouth-watering combination of Margherita pizza with juicy tuna, caramelized onions, vibrant green peppers, and the perfect finishing touch - a generous drizzle of garlic butter.

Well, my love for this pizza was about to reach new heights. In 1997, I had my first experience at Pizza Express and ordered the pizza that I had come to know and love. To my delight, it was even better than I expected. The sauce was perfectly seasoned, the cheese was melted to perfection, and the toppings were fresh and flavorful. That's when my friend suggested the game-changing addition of spicy jalapenos instead of green peppers, and just like that, my pizza was perfected. On my most recent visit, I was delighted to find that they had reserved my usual table for me.

We started off with the usual doughballs which we fill with marinated olives. Hits the spot every time!

The waitress was as friendly and attentive as ever, and she even surprised me with an extra helping of cheese, and when the pizza arrived, I was in heaven. The crust was crispy, the cheese was gooey, and the toppings were perfectly balanced, and let's not forget the finishing touch - a generous sprinkle of freshly ground black pepper. To accompany my pizza, I always order a cold Coca-Cola or Sprite with plenty of ice. The combination of the spicy jalapenos, the melted cheese, and the refreshing coke is the perfect pairing.

The dining experience this day was somewhat tarnished by the manager's peculiar decision to seat four new customers at the table next to us, despite the availability of at least fifteen other tables. The adults accompanied by two younger people were hesitant about being seated so close to occupied tables with so many other options available, but they decided to go along with it. The waitress acknowledged the strange decision when we were leaving and apologized for any inconvenience. Their somewhat loud communication had impacted the privacy of our own meal, and we had to end our conversation prematurely. Despite this minor setback, I have a strong fondness for Pizza Express and plan to continue visiting in the future.

This pizza is a true masterpiece that deserves a permanent spot on the menu. Every bite is a symphony of flavors that tantalize the taste buds, leaving a lasting impression. Despite initial skepticism from some, once they've taken a bite, they become fans for life. This pizza is a true gem, beloved by all who have the privilege of trying it. My journey with this pizza has been nothing short of amazing. From its humble beginnings at Domino's to its current status as a staple at Pizza Express, this margherita pizza with tuna, onion, jalapenos, garlic butter and extra cheese has a special place in my heart. It's a reminder of the power of simplicity, friendship, and delicious food. Each visit is like coming home, and I look forward to many more memorable meals at Pizza Express in the future.
